Freedman Bros PTY Ltd of Rye, 3941 Vic became THEAULT's first Australian customer taking delivery of their new Proteo horse truck in November 2009.  3-months on we asked racing manager Sam Pritchard-Gordon how they were finding it.

"The horsebox is a great asset to our stable" says Sam "It relieves us from the dependence upon floating companies as our foreman can now drive the horses to the races; in a game where seconds count knowing that your runners are travelling in the utmost comfort and quickest time surely gives us an edge on our competitors.  Furthermore our horses are stepping off the truck fresh and free from sweat as the ventilation is clevely thought out by Theault".

It also grants us huge flexibility.  From sending horses to the beach or sending a foreman on an interstate trip it ensures that we are managing our time, staff and horses in the best possible manner.  It is also an incredibly cost effective vehicle - $120 bucks of fuel gets you almost 1000km of travel and it drives as comfortably as a car".

"In short we just wish that we had one before".
