Theault Australia will be exhibiting at Sydney's Weekend Of Equestrian World Cups at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, Horsley Park, NSW 2175 from 6 to 8 May 2011.

The Prix d'Amérique, widely regarded as the World's most prestigious trotting/harness race, took place at the revered Parisienne course of Vincennes last weekend.  The result was a good one for Theault with winner Ready Cash (pictured) owned by Philippe Allaire, trained by Thierry Duvaldestin and driven by Franck Nivard, all Theault clients.

Theault customer and leading French racehorse trainer Alain de Royer-Dupré headed to the southern hemisphere with group winner Americain for a successful challenge to this year's Melbourne Cup.

Equitana Australia is one of the largest biennial equine events in the southern hemisphere.  This year it takes place from 18 to 21 November at the Melbourne Showgrounds and Theault Australia will be there to welcome visitors to look around the Proteo Horse Float.

The team showjumping at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky saw a strong performance by Theault customer Pénélope Leprevost riding Mylord Cathago HN (pictured) and the rest of the French team - European Champion Kevin Staut (Silvana de Hus); Patrice Delaveau (Katchina Mail) & Olivier Guillon (Lord de Theize) to win silver behind a very strong German side.

Meanwhile Sweden's Peder Fredricson riding H&M Arctic Aurora Borealis helped his team into 6th place while former Word Champion Dermott Lennon riding Hallmark Elite saw the Irish team finish in 12th position.

We wish them the best of luck for the individual competition at the end of the week.

The team dressage at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky saw a record breaking performance by Theault customer Laura Bechtolsheimer riding Mistral Hojris (pictured) to finish second in the individual scoring behind Edward Gal (Netherlands) and the legendary Moorlands Totilas.  

Strong performances from the rest of the team (Maria Eilberg - Two Sox, Fiona Bigwood - Wie Atlantico & Carl Hester - Liebling II) gained team GB the silver medal behind the gold-medal winning Netherlands; the first ever team medal for Great Britain in a dressage World Championships.  Laura went on to win silver in the individual competition breaking the record for the highest score by a British rider in an international Grand Prix Special with a record 81.71% just 3.96% behind gold medallist Edward Gal & Totilas.  Steffen Peters and Ravel gained an excellent result for a the USA finishing in individual bronze position.

Over the last 2-years Laura and Mistral Hojris (aka Alf) have consistently broken records for scoring by a British combination in international competition and produced two superb performances for a well deserved result. 

Belgian Theault customer Jeroen Devroe riding Apollo Vantlet Vuverhof finished in 32nd place in the individual scoring of the team competition to finish top of the Belgium squad and help the team into 9th place.

On show will be the Theault Proteo compact 2-stall horsebox, a completely new concept to horse transport in Australia. 

The Proteo features lightweight, low side-loading ramp and sliding rail partition allowing the horse space to be adjusted as required quickly and easily.  Horses travel in rear-facing orientation, a concept which research has shown provides horses with the least stressful and most balanced travel.  In Europe this concept has become the most popular format for small horseboxes. 

The lower vehicle level and distribution of the horse's weight between rather than over the axles gives the Theault Proteo excellent stability.  This small, compact vehicle is easy to drive and manoeuvre.
